Broad Chalke Open Gardens
Broad Chalke Open Gardens
Sunday 7th June 2026 12 noon – 5.30pm

Broad Chalke in the beautiful Chalke Valley will be holding its ever
popular Open Gardens event on Sunday 7th June when six of the
village’s private gardens will be open to the public for the first time in
several years. The gardens have been chosen to display a variety of
country house & garden styles including an ancient manor house &
formal garden, a riverside rectory, a Georgian farmhouse, and a
traditional thatched cottage garden. The gardens are all situated in the
village conservation area linked by footpaths through water-meadows
(walking shoes recommended!) – making this a very pleasant afternoon’s
country ramble.
Visitors arriving by car should park at one of the signed car parks near All Saints Church (postcode SP5 5DN) and pick up their entry ticket and map of the gardens at the Village Hall opposite.
Entry costs £8 per adult (children free) and that covers entry to all six gardens, with proceeds going to local charities.
There will also be home made refreshments on sale in the village hall and a small flower display on view in the church.
This popular event offers visitors a wonderful afternoon out in our
beautiful chalk downland village situated astride the River Ebble in the
Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – with visits to
interesting private gardens and a traditional tea thrown in. We look
forward to welcoming you.
