Item 21 on the Agenda for a meeting of the Town Development Committee of Warminster Town Council, held at the Civic Centre, Warminster, on the evening of Monday 2nd June 2025, was: “Rights Of Way Volunteers. To note the update from the Rights of Way Volunteers.”
The Rights Of Way Volunteers presented a Warminster Rights Of Way Maintenance Analysis, which included the following information for North Lane footpath:

Surface: Grass / mud.
Remarks: North Lane pre-dates the 1783 Inclosure Award and varies from c.10 feet to c.20 feet as defined by the original banks. Mown at least in part by Nigel Linge.

Surface: Mixed.
Remarks: The remainder of WARM 8 is a string of awarded 20 feet wide private roads from the 1783 Award. North of the Bypass it borders Norridge Wood (Longleat). South of the Bypass it is mainly within the West Warminster Urban Extension (WWUE). Following its junction with WARM 9 it is neighboured by Warminster School sports pitches and long standing occupants of Coldharbour Lane. Persimmon Homes enclosed the section between WARM 12 & 13 and I [Nigel Linge] reminded them that it was their duty to maintain the RoW. Mown at least in part by Nigel Linge.
