A proposal from the Wessex Water Authority to construct a bund (dam) at Folly Lane, Warminster, was welcomed by Warminster Town Council’s Planning Advisory Committee on Monday 22nd September 1986. Councillors were told the bund would prevent flooding outside the sub-post office at 1 Fore Street, Warminster Common.
