Police Appeal For Information About An Incident In Stapleford

Police are appealing for information following an incident which took place in Stapleford, in the Wylye Valley.

At approximately 7.15 p.m. on Wednesday 4th March 2015, a man called at the door of a home in Warminster Road claiming to be part of a young offenders charity. He told the victim he was raising money to get into the army and was selling items from a holdall. The victim agreed to buy some of the items, and shut the door while he went upstairs to get some money. After the man had left the address, the victim noticed his keys, which he keeps on the inside of his front door, had disappeared. 

The man is described as white, approximately 5 ft 11 inches tall, of stocky build. He was wearing a black hat, black top and black gloves. He had no visible identification. 

Police would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area, especially anybody carrying out door-to-door sales.
