Further Free Canoeing Sessions For Young People

𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞.

Warminster Town Council has committed to additional free canoeing sessions for young people in Warminster on Wednesday 28th August 2024.

Cllr Stacie Allensby, Mayor of Warminster said: “We are delighted to offer additional canoeing sessions in the Lake Pleasure Grounds during the summer holidays. The previous free sessions were extremely popular, and we are delighted to put on more as we continue to actively work with young people in the community.”

Warminster residents aged 6 to 17, can sign up to the free 1-hour sessions run by qualified instructors from Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team (WOLT) – when local participants will be taken out in 2- and 3-seater Canadian canoes. As well as developing paddle skills, there will also be lots of games and fun.
