In 1783 the rectory house was built partly of stone and partly of brick, one part was tiled and the other thatched and it contained 2 parlours, 5 bedrooms, and 2 garrets. Much of the building still remains in the present Old Rectory, which was much enlarged in the 19th century. It was sold in 1954.
