The Wife Of The Rev. H.E. Windle

A brass plaque in St. Augustine’s Church, Upton Lovell, features the following inscription:

Mira Windle
Wife of the Rev. H.E. Windle, Rector of this Parish.
Died May 11th 1898, Aged 80.
Asleep in Jesus, None can tell
The joys of those he loved so well,
Then, Holy Jesu, grant that we
May, dying, fall asleep in thee.
