BBC Radio Wiltshire are reporting:
A man in his 40s is in a life threatening condition at Southmead Hospital in Bristol after being hit by a car on the A36 in Wiltshire last night. He was walking near Codford when he was hit. The road is closed in both directions between Heytesbury and the A303 at Codford.
