Richard Dombkowski has written these lyrics in memory of his father Bruno who died five years ago today.

Five Years On, Five Years Gone
The years pass by so quickly
But sometimes time can stand still and not wane
And since that day, the day we lost you
We’ve shared our memories of you, to keep sane
Without the memories, life would be stark
And have no meaning
And we thank God for the father we had
Through thick and thin, taking it on the chin
We salute you, on this day, dear dad.
Five years on, five years gone
Into the oblivion.

Into eternity.
Five years gone, five years on
And if we could live to be a million
Our love for you would not fade or wither
Our love for you will always be.
