Yesterday evening Warminster Town Councillor Steve Dancey, in conversation with me, seemed to think the mile post adjacent the B3414 (the former A36) at Norton Bavant had been removed. I assured him it was still in situ, but because it has been painted a pinky red colour (maybe an undercoat for repainting in white at some later date) it is currently difficult to see among the hues of the autumn hedgerow. The mile post has been pinky-red coloured for some time now but still attracts the non-muggles amongst us. To show Steve and others the mile post is still there, here are some photos I took today (Tuesday 22nd October 2013):
Hidden by the hues of the autumn hedgerow,

Norton Bavant.
Pretty in pink.
