Currently for sale on ebay, by the theantiqueboutiquenicholas of London, is a watch by J.K. Saunders of Warminster, for the ‘buy it now’ price of £399.99, plus £3.20 postage and packing.
The seller says: “This was a watch I found while clearing a house in London, turns out to be an extremely good period time piece indeed.”
The seller also says: “Made by the well known J. K. Saunders of warminster, excellent gilded fusee movement, the detail exquisite, in a pair cases solid silver case, full hallmarks to both cases, fine hand painted dial, very thick convex glass dial.”
The seller adds: “Have not had it working as I have no key, but movement looks to be in great condition but as no horologist, can’t sell it as in working order, there is the minute and second hand missing, glass scratched and handle loose and will need re- soldering. A good honest antique, in as original condition as you will find.”

A note by Danny Howell ~ John Knight Saunders is listed as a watch and clockmaker in the Warminster entries of the Commercial Directory 1842. His business address is given as Market Place, Warminster. He died in 1844.
