The Wessex Water foreman in charge of the sewage pipe repairs running through the Parish says his team expect to complete their work near Little Langford by early next week and then will move on to clearing blockages in the pipe between Little Langford and Great Wishford. This may take time as the pipe runs under the river in some places.
Work at the pumping station on Duck Street will resume from Thursday morning 3 March through to Sunday 6 March. Traffic lights will be used to control traffic on these days, but the road will not be blocked and the lights will be removed when they are not working on Duck St.
The Parish Council have asked Wessex Water to clear Duck St of mud and debris whenever possible during this work and then do a major clean-up when they finally finish.
