It is with great regret we share the very sad news that Bob Trollope, for many years one of the lionkeepers at Longleat Lion Reserve, has died. We believe he had been diagnosed with cancer. Bob was not only popular locally but known far and wide for his caring role looking after the Longleat Lions, which were very much one of the big loves of his life. He featured many times in the BBC2 television series Animal Park (205 episodes) originally broadcast from 2000 to 2009 (repeated many times). Bob will be much missed ~ he was a wonderful man with a wonderful caring nature.
