Lady Marjorie Paskin, in her booklet The Church Of Wishford Magna, revised edition published in 1974, noted that a fire engine made by Richard Newsham was purchased for the parish of Great Wishford in 1728. It was in use until the 1920s or later, but has been preserved inside the Church of St. Giles, Great Wishford, since 1972.
