Film clip on BBC Wiltshire online this morning about the run-down state of the Lake Pleasure Gardens (Town Park), Weymouth Street, Warminster.

They ask: “People living by the Lake Pleasure Grounds in Warminster think their park is a sad sight but the Town Council says there is no money to do it up. Is it worth saving?”

The BBC have made a mistake though ~ Warminster Town Council do not as yet own the Lake Pleasure Grounds but are hoping to acquire it by asset transfer from Wiltshire Council. It is Wiltshire Council who apparently don’t have the money to spend on improving Warminster’s town park.
