Maddington: James Perry Has Absconded

From the Salisbury & Winchester Journal, Monday 20th October 1818:

Whereas, James Perry, of the Parish of Maddington, labourer, has absconded and left his Family chargeable to the said parish; whoever will bring him to the Overseers shall receive a Reward of Two Guineas. He is about 5 feet 9 inches high, has quick eyes, thin made, and stands very upright.

Berwick St. Leonard Inclosure. – We, the Commissioners named and appointed in and by an Act of Parliament lately made and passed, for inclosing lands in the parish of Berwick St. Leonard, in the county of Wilts, do hereby give notice, that we shall hold our next Meeting for carrying the said Act into execution, on Monday the 9th day of November next and two following days, at the Lamb Inn, in Hindon, in the said county of Wilts, and that on Tuesday the 10th day of November next at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, we shall proceed to perambulate the boundaries of the said parish, and that we shall begin such perambulation at the extremity of the parish of Berwick Saint Leonard aforesaid adjoining the town of Hindon, in the said county, near the barn called Harrison’s Barn, and continue the same until the whole boundaries be gone through, of which perambulation all Lords of neighbouring manors and other persons interested are hereby required to take notice. – John Charlton. To Be Let: Leonard’s Mill, Frome

From the Salisbury & Winchester Journal, Monday 26th October 1818:

Valuable Water Mill and Clothing Factory, at Frome, Somerset. – To be Let, for a term of years, with possession at Lady-day next, – Leonard’s Mill and appurtenances, most eligibly situate on the river Frome, with a Dwelling-House, stables, gardens, and 8 acres of excellent Meadow Land adjoining, only half a mile from Frome, now occupied by Mr. John Grant and Mr. James Slade. the two mill wheels are driven by a good fall of water, and work two pair of stocks, two gigs, and a brusher, on the ground floor; with three scribbling and three carding engines, seven shearing frames, &c., on the three floors over; a dye house for three vats and three furnaces, with drying store, indigo house, washing stage, &c., adjoin. – For further particulars apply to Mr. Wickham, North Hill, or Messrs. Crocker, land agents and surveyors, Frome, who will receive tenders for renting the same until the 31st of December next.

Benjamin Rebbeck’s Estates At Codford St. Peter To Be Sold By Auction

Codford St. Peter, Wilts.
To be Sold by Auction, by Mr. Ryall, on Thursday the 9th day of July next, at three o’clock in the afternoon, at the George Inn, in Codford Saint Peter, near Heytesbury, in the County of Wilts (by order of the Assignees of Mr. Benjamin Rebbeck):- All the Freehold and Leasehold Estates and Premises, of the said Benjamin Rebbeck, situate in the said parish of Codford Saint Peter, consisting of a convenient Dwelling-House, sundry Cottages, about eight Acres of Freehold Land, and about eight Acres of Leasehold Land, for terms absolute and terms determined on lives; which will be offered for sale in ten lots, as fully described in hand-bills distributed in the said parish and its vicinity. – The premises may be seen on application to Mr. Richard Francis, at the George Inn, in Codford Saint Peter; and particulars may be known at the Office of Messrs.
