Declaration of Mr John Daniell as for Middlecott’s Heirship & Death.
I John Daniell of Warminster in the County of Wilts Gentleman Do solemnly and sincerely declare that I well knew Edward Middlecott formerly of Warminster aforesaid Esquire and Elizabeth his Wife and who before her intermarriage with the said Edward Middlecott was Elizabeth Harbattele spinster And that I also knew Edward Middlecott late of Warminster aforesaid Esquire deceased and who was as I have been informed and verily believe the Eldest Son and Heir at Law of the said Edward Middlecott and Elizabeth his Wife And that the said Edward Middlecott the Son departed this life on or about the – Day of May One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine And that previous to his decease he was in pofsefsion of the Estate and property situate in Warminster aforesaid known as Middlecotts Property And I make this solemn Declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true and by virtue of the provisions of an Act made and pafsed in the 5th and 6th years of the Reign of His late Majesty King William the 4th Intituled “an Act to repeal an Act of the present Sefsion of parliament intituled An Act for the more effectual abolition of Oaths and Affirmations taken and made in various departments of the State and to substitute Declarations in lieu thereof and for the more entire supprefsion of voluntary and extra-judicial Oaths and Affidavits and to make other provisions for the Abolition of unnecefary Oaths” Jn Daniell
Taken and subscribed by the said John Daniell of Warminster this 15th Day of November 1839 – Before me H. Bastings a Master extraordinary in Chancery.
