New Railings For The Beeches, 44 Boreham Road, Warminster

Warminster Town Council’s Planning Advisory Committee have raised no objections to a planning application for the erection of new railings at the front of The Beeches, 44 Boreham Road, Warminster, BA12 9JR. (Railings to replace the ones that were removed sometime during the 1930s or 1940s). [Planning Application 17/08542/FUL and 17/07887/LBC].

Even I am astonished. We have all been complaining to Wiltshire Council about the state of Boreham Road, Warminster, and the danger to motorcyclists and cyclists and damage to vehicles for years. A near miss described by a taxi driver about a motor cyclist being sent across the road saw us make a big fuss about this and a local edition of the Independent News that we publish. It took a long time and was promised for 2016. It has supposedly been dealt with by Wiltshire Council and the repair will last for years and is promoted by the Conservatives as an example of their good work. It has lasted literally a matter of days. If elected to Wiltshire Council I will be asking searching questions about this.
