The blackthorn hedge adjacent the back road through the Wylye Valley, between Corton and Boyton, just round the corner from Cortington Manor, has just come into blossom.

An elderly gentleman tells us this is the latest time in the year, he has ever known this particular stretch of hedge to come into blossom.
