Roly Poly Steps ~ The Lovers Walk ~ Warminster, Circa 1905

Roly Poly Steps, Warminster,
depicted on a postcard, circa 1905.

In those days local people referred to it
and the adjoining Roly Poly Lane as
“The Lovers Walk” no doubt because it was
the scene of many a romantic moment.

The producer of the postcard has added
an illustration of a couple of people
stepping out together, to emphasis
the name of the place.

The card is titled:
“The Lovers Walk, Warminster.”
