The Hindon Parish Meeting which was held last month was attended by County Councillor John Underwood who announced that he would not be standing for re-election. He was thanked for all the help he had given during his time in office.
Major repair work to the road in The Dene was scheduled by Wiltshire County Council for the current financial year but the County Surveyor had said that the provision of footways on the B3089 between Quoins and the Old Police House and also at Stop Hill could not be included in the present programme due to the general curtailment of funds.
