The Lake Pleasure Grounds (Town Park)
off Weymouth Street, Warminster,
were officially opened on
Saturday 26th July 1924.
This photograph of the lake,
was taken from the north-east corner
of the park soon after it had opened.
The islands are newly planted with trees
and the banks of the lake still look fresh.
