This view looks south west from below Battlesbury
Wood, Boreham, Warminster,
across the lower part of the 70 Acres and
Long Close (fields of Bishopstrow Farm)
towards Railway Cottages, Bishopstrow (the
white cottages just left of centre of the picture)
and over the tree-clad village of Norton Bavant
and beyond to Great Ridge Wood on the horizon.
The people are walking on the western side of
the hawthorn trees that border Morgan’s Drove.
The Southern Range Road crosses the picture.
