Sold by auction on eBay today (4th May 2024) was a handwritten note dated 12th April 1758, concerning George Coventry and a cottage and garden in Steeple Langford “late in the possession of Ann Coventry my late mother”. George Coventry gave his consent for John Furnall, cordwainer, of Steeple Langford, to have the cottage and garden.
The note which was listed for sale by a seller called ephemiranda, based in Huddersfield, sold for it’s starting price of £3.00 plus £1.25 postage and packing.
