A class from Horningsham School spent a fun morning visiting the Lake Pleasure Grounds, exploring the park and learning about the work of the Warminster Town Council Grounds team on Wednesday 2nd July 2025.
Adrian Rogers, Parks and Open Spaces Manager and Stuart Legg, Parks and Estate Manager explained how the Lake Pleasure Grounds operates, how the park is maintained, the facilities available as well as answering some excellent questions from the school children.
Adrian Rogers said: “We love showing people around the Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds and explaining what we do to maintain this fantastic community asset. It’s great to answer questions and see the enthusiasm from the pupils.â€
Warminster Town Council recently invited local schoolchildren to plant flowers in the Lake Pleasure Grounds as the council continues to inspire the next generation to take pride in their local area.

HORNINGSHAM ART HUB?
Are you a visual artist looking for a supportive community?
We have had some exciting chats with arts promoter Stephanie Edwards and artist Miles Cantelou Art recently! They would love to start a regular meet-up to connect with like-minded artists and become part of a vibrant community where we can share ideas, perfect our craft and exhibit diverse artwork at regular shows and we all agree that Horningsham Village Hall would be a wonderful place to base this creative hub!
All are welcome, whatever your medium – whether you paint, sculpt or blow glass we can provide a platform to showcase your talents and connect with fellow creatives.
If you feel motivated, contact Stephanie via stevie6336boa@gmail.com

From the Facebook page of Horningsham Village Hall:
A little reminder that it’s all happening in Horningsham tomorrow (24th September) with not one but TWO special visits! First up, Police Community Support Officer Lukasz Kolasinski of the Warminster Rural Beat team will be bringing their mobile police station to the entrance to the Village Hall field from 1-3pm so that we can all get to know each other a bit better.
THEN the @longleatofficial Longleat Estates, Property and Forestry teams will be hosting a drop in and ‘Meet the Team’ event for Horningsham residents between 4pm and 6pm inside the Village Hall. They can’t wait to answer questions and update us all on their plans for the coming years. They are even bringing tea and cake!
Sunday 4th August 2024
A notice on the Facebook page of Horningsham Village Hall:
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of the ways that Horningsham Village Hall is available for its community – either as a space to hire or as a communal offering. The Village Hall committee would love to hear your ideas for other uses and also any suggestions on how to improve or expand the current offerings and/or make them more accessible. Just send us a message here or email admin@horningshamvillagehall.com
