Theft Of A Heifer From A Field At East Knoyle

Warminster Police report:

We are appealing to the public for help following the theft of a heifer from a farm in East Knoyle.

The theft occurred between October 17 and 20 from its field overnight, but was only recently reported to us.

The heifer is described as an 18 month old South Devon heifer, solid chestnut in colour.

Open Farm Sunday At Cools Farm

Cools Farm at East Knoyle, south of Warminster, SP3 6DB, will be open to the public on Open Farm Sunday, 17th June 2012, from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. There’s a chance to meet the animals, take part in a hosted farm tour and self-guided walks, and refreshments will be available.

Activities: See Red Poll cattle and calves, chickens and chicks, woodland nature trails, history and landscape trail, soup lunch, barbecue Red Poll beefburgers and sausages, cream teas on the farmhouse lawn. Various competitions.

Directions: 6 miles north of Shaftesbury off A350 – right at Millbrook Lane, signposted West Tisbury, left at first crossroads, Cools Farm is 1 mile on right. 2 miles south of Hindon – at bottom of High Street turn right, after 1.8 miles turn right down hill.

Now formally constituted, and having secured a lease on premises, East Knoyle Railway Modellers are now in a position to welcome model railway enthusiasts from surrounding towns and villages who would like to join the club and be involved in their exciting project – building a scale working model (in OO gauge) of Shillingstone Station, Dorset, circa 1962.

The interests of East Knoyle Railway Modellers are varied and include “O’ and “N’ gauge and digital control.
