According to a Facebook page, No.29 High Street, Warminster, BA12 9AG  (the former premises of Johnsons the Cleaners) is to become a video game bar with a proposed date of April 2016 for its opening. No.29 High Street, which is currently empty, has recently been advertised to let, leasehold, for £10,650 per annum (with annual rates of £5,280). It comprises 862 sq. ft.

The Facebook page for the Extra Life Video Game Bar announces that the games bar “is where friends can socialise, drink and celebrate all things gaming related, in a retro arcade setting which appeals to all ages. The Bar will operate with two sets of opening hours to allow control over content displayed in the bar (i.e. games and their specific age rating) providing a family friendly experience 10.00 a.m. till 5.00 p.m. and then cater to our more mainstream audience 7.00 p.m. till 11.00 p.m. The Bar will also run gaming competitions for which there will be an entry fee (unless a member) and award winners and high scorers with prizes. There will also be high score long term compactions running in the background. The Extra Life Video game bar will also look to hold small events catering to various aspects of gaming culture, such as cosplay events, new release parties , and on Sundays hold our ‘Geek out’ Sundays card games, e.g pokemon/magic the gathering with the possibility of a D&D table as this is growing in popularity.
