In The Changing Face of Warminster, (1971), Wilfred Middlebrook says that in 1290 a house was provided in Curt or Court Street for the Chaplain of St Laurence’s Chapel.

The Victoria County History, Volume VIII, in the chapter on Warminster, says that the whereabouts of “Curtstrate”, which existed in the 13th century, is not known.
