The King’s Arms, Market Place, Warminster (Second Named)

Reg Cundick and Danny Howell in the book The Inns And Taverns Of Warminster, published in November 1987, stated:

The second of three inns with the name The King’s Arms, in Warminster, was situated at the junction of Market Place and Weymouth Street (east side). It was originally known as The Plume Of Feathers. The King’s Arms stood here until the early 1830s when this corner was redeveloped. Pigot’s National Commercial Directory 1830 shows Nathaniel Smith as the last recorded landlord. The inn’s address is given as Market Place.
