Prostate Chat Cafe

A message from Warminster Lions Club:

Following on from the Lions PSA testing day last Saturday.

If any of you guys that were brave enough to take the test have received a concerning result, please feel free to join us at the Prostate chat cafe. We meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month. Our next meeting is on Monday 27th October 2025 at the Athenaeum, High Street, Warminster, 7 to 8.30 pm.

We all support each other. We have all been in the same place where you guys are now. Talking really helps.

Father Christmas Has Started His Warminster Residency

Father Christmas started off his ‘Warminster’ residency by visiting with the staff and residents of Longbridge Deverill House & Nursing Home this afternoon.

Safety comes first and he checked his temperature on entering and was found to be a little bit warmer than he was at the North Pole.

Next stop was to see the lovely residents of Homeminster House, where he interrupted their afternoon tea.

We are very pleased to report that everyone visited today made it on to the ‘nice’ list, which will definitely save on the coal bill this year.

Re-Opening Of Warminster Lions Book Shop

Monday 28th October 2024

The Warminster Lions Bookshop in George Street, Warminster, re-opens tomorrow, Tuesday 29th October 2024. They say:

As we start half term our window this week features some great books on walking and hiking trails.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by our 5-day closure. The refurbishment / refit was necessary due to Health & Safety and damp issues, which have now been rectified. We hope that you will agree that the bookshop is now a brighter, more welcoming and safer environment for our customers and volunteers.

Pop in and take a peek . . . . it’s half term and our children’s section looks especially good with lots to choose from for toddlers to teens in its revamped corner.

Still a few shelves to fit and fill so drop your donations in, or message us to collect any larger donations.

Refurbishment For Warminster Lions Bookshop

A message from Warminster Lions:

We are excited to report that the final phase of our bookshop refurbishment will be taking place later this month. It does mean that the shop will be closed from Sunday 20th October to Monday 28th October.

Make sure you get you drop into the shop before then to get your reading material ready for the closure week!

We look forward to reopening and showcasing our refurbished shop on Tuesday 29th October.

Warminster Rotary Club & Warminster Lions Club Collecting For Haiti Hurricane Disaster

Club joined forces in the Three Horseshoes Walk,
Warminster, on Saturday 22nd October 2016,
collecting financial donations which will buy
water survival boxes for the Haiti Hurricane Disaster.
