At the Eastleigh Estate sale of land and properties in the parishes of Bishopstrow, Sutton Veny and Warminster, being sold (on behalf of Sir John Dugdale Astley) by auction by the firm of Marsh, Dawes And Gibbs at the Bath Arms Hotel, Market Place, Warminster on Wednesday 4th June 1884:

Lot 20 was a building site adjoining Weymouth Street (late Aldridge’s), Warminster, occupied by John Sly.

First Buildings At Weymouth Street, Warminster

In Christ Church, Warminster, The First 150 Years, a booklet published in October 1980, to celebrate the 150th birthday of Christ Church, the Rev. John C. Day (Vicar) writes:

One of the first buildings to be erected in the street [Weymouth Street] was the old Christ Church Vicarage, opened in 1860. Other places of note were the old established Hall’s Paint & Varnish Factory, opened in 1830.
