Press release from Warminster Town Council:

Town Council Invests In New Equipment At Popular Play Area

A new metal cableway (zip-wire) and mini-climbing trail have been installed at Fore Street Play Area (Fore Street, Warminster, Wiltshire BA12 8DD) following town council investment.

Cllr Andrew Cooper, Mayor of Warminster said: “The new equipment really does look fantastic. We have so many quality play areas around the town, lots of places for children to enjoy. It really enhances the community feel of Warminster.”

The changes have been made to keep the play equipment up-to-date, safe and fun for the community as the town council continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining and investing in its assets and attracting people to the town.

The town council manages nine play areas in Warminster at: The Lake Pleasure Grounds, Portway, Queensway, The Dene, Princess Gardens, The Beeches, Pound Street, Fore Street, and The Heathlands.

As the zip wire is brand new the cable is slightly higher than previously – over time it will become easier for all to use.
