Monday 2nd June 2025
Item 21 on the Agenda for a meeting of the Town Development Committee of Warminster Town Council, held at the Civic Centre, Warminster, on the evening of Monday 2nd June 2025, was: “Rights Of Way Volunteers. To note the update from the Rights of Way Volunteers.”
The Rights Of Way Volunteers presented a Warminster Rights Of Way Maintenance Analysis, which included the following information for Grange Lane:
Ser. 33
Parish number: WARM 40.
Name: Grange Lane.
Status: Footpath.
Length (m): 2200.
Surface: Mixed.
Remarks: Grange Lane starts as a private road and public footpath as far as the Grange. It then narrows and becomes enclosed by hedges until it reaches Battlesbury Barracks. It then turns right along a concrete road until it meets WARM 41 where it turns north and runs along a stone path, over the railway to the Battlesbury Spur concrete road. On the other side of the Spur it becomes a track as far as the Imber Range boundary. Mown at least in part by Nigel Linge.
