A gravestone in All Saints Churchyard, Chitterne (this churchyard is behind Spring Cottage, at the southern end of Townsend – the gate to the churchyard is adjacent the road leading to Chitterne Farm West) has the inscription:
In memory of Geoffrey Feltham,
who passed away 10th October 1935, aged 45.
Also of
Esme Maria Feltham died 27th June 1970,
aged 77 years.
