Town Council Not To Take Action To Improve Pedestrian Safety At Elm Hill, Warminster

At a meeting of the Town Development Committee of Warminster Town Council, held at Warminster Civic Centre, on Monday 3rd October 2022, Councillors Allensby, Davis, Fraser, Fryer, Macfarlane and Syme (and advisor Len Turner) considered a request for improving safety for pedestrians at Elm Hill, Warminster. The minutes record that:

33.8 Elm Hill
Members considered a request for the Wiltshire Council’s Local Highway and Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) to look at improving safety for pedestrians walking along Elm Hill in view of the absence of any footpath or street lighting and with the increased number of vehicles using this road to access the military establishments. Members considered the cost involved to be prohibitive and resolved to take no action.
