The Funeral Of David Belgrave

Thursday 7th October 2021

Steve Vaughan writes:

“Today (7th October 2021), at Salisbury Crematorium, we put to rest David Patrick Belgrave (Blossom). The information we have for David is sparse. It would appear he had no family apart from the army. It seems he was a member of the Battleaxe Battery of 32 Guided Weapons, Royal Artillery, in Bulford, before finishing his 22 years service at Porton Down in many undisclosed roles. Like most old soldiers he loved his sport – rugby ,squash, golf; and Westons cider. Dave always had a smile and a kind word. Nothing was to much trouble and that smile of his was infectious. He is now at the ‘FV’ with the brothers who went before him. Blossom R.I.P.”

David Belgrave was born in Port Of Spain, Trinidad, on 23rd May 1947. In later life, he lived for several years at Bouverie Avenue South, Salisbury. He died at Salisbury, Wiltshire, on Friday 6th August 2021.
