Paul Macdonald writes:

Good news. Just home from a Wiltshire Council meeting. The planning application to build 35 homes by the River Wylye at Spurt Mead in Boreham Road, Warminster, has been refused by planning councillors. Cllr. Andrew Davis successfully proposed the refusal on two strong grounds and was seconded by Cllr. Newbury supported by three of us speaking from the public seats. Warminster Town Council did not turn up to speak for their available four minutes. Bishopstrow Parish did. I spoke as a ward town councillor. A big thank you to all of you for your words of support and encouragement.
