Having read the England and Wales High Court (Administrative Court) Decisions in the High Court of Justice Planning Court 28 page document several times we need to remember that we keep bringing impartial common sense to the proposal to build on this piece of land [Spurt Mead] that is crucial to the future of the River Wylye, the habitat, and our approach to planning the future of Warminster for all the right reasons.
I make no comment on the actions of those individuals and officers involved that led to the conclusion of the High Court that ‘For reasons I have given regarding apparent bias under ground 1, I grant judicial review and will quash the decision of 21 January to grant planning permission’
But those who care more about exploiting any commercial opportunity not only here but across the whole town must be asked to reflect on this decision.
I have also gleaned more from this judgement.
There is now a chance to correct some mistakes that have been made since I was elected by the Warminster Town Council not only here but including ideas for a road through The Avenue past the school to the town centre car park.
Spurt Mead along the Boreham Road is not the right place for TV celebrity housing development or any other sort of development outside the agreed line just as was argued near the Minster Church on two occasions these two years.
We must stand firm and start rallying again and I am pleased more locals are pledging to join my tree-hugging protest.
