Danny Howell writes:
While in the Three Horseshoes Walk today I was approached by Des Brittain, who chatted away merrily and turned the tables on me by taking my photograph. Later, that evening, I was told he had published the photo on the Spotted In Warminster Town Facebook page:

And Des had added the following amusing comment:
“Spotted this dodgy looking character in town casing out the new shop in the mall. Said his name was Danny something. I’ve informed the authorities . . .”
To which Des, in a more flattering comment, added:
“. . . . . . . One of Warminster’s originals and finest!!!”
An admin from Spotted In Warminster Town replied:
“It’s Danny Howell, Warminster’s own rather good local historian.”
Steve Wills responded too:
“Local historian . . . . Documenting the Towns social history.”
Tony Mcdonnell added:
“Danny Howell. If you need any information on the history of the town he’s the man to contact.”
And Christine Buxton took the opportunity to shower some praise:
“Danny Howell is a lovely man who is very good at delving into Warminster’s past for interesting details. His books are good too.”
