Scratchbury Hill, Norton Bavant, Seen From Cox’s Drove, Bishopstrow

The view north-east from Cox’s Drove,
Bishopstrow, looking across Dairy Field
(growing oil seed rape) and Railway Close
(recently ploughed), fields of Bishopstrow Farm,
over the Warminster-Salisbury railway line
to the Iron Age hill fort of Scratchbury,
Norton Bavant. The white buildings almost
centre of the picture are Railway Cottages,
adjacent the lane to Middleton.

The photograph was taken by Danny Howell
during the glorious spring-sunshine
on the afternoon of
Wednesday 14th March 2012.
