Warminster Civic Trust, in its newsletter, issue number 33, April 2011, referring to the Warminster Town Plan, noted ~
George Street. Many of the buildings in George Street have historic features, although more could be made of them through maintenance and sympathetic renovation. Whilst such moves, along with improvements to shop frontages, will be encouraged, the street environment could be enhanced by making best use of the wide space in this area. Possible ideas include the adoption of chevron parking, widening of pavements, and the introduction of suitable trees to soften its appearance.
