Heytesbury Village Hall Development Group Applying For Planning Permission To Build Twelve Houses

From The Upper Wylye Parish News, March 2006:

Heytesbury. The Village Hall Development Group is applying for planning permission for the final scheme to build twelve houses, six being affordable, which will enable the donation of a village hall and the permanent security of the playing pitches. In the referendum, in January, 387 on the electoral roll of 610 voted. 253 out of 387 voted Yes to the scheme, 65.37% in favour.

The committee would welcome more members to take the project forward. If we obtain planning permission, we would welcome members with building experience, landscaping issues and related matters to liaise with the developer and the architect. Looking further forward, marketing, business, publicity, accountancy and management skills will be needed to run the hall. Any aspiring member may be assured that Community First, a national organisation, advises community centres how to run themselves, providing courses, updates on new legislation and a range of booklets on every conceivable related subject. So we will have the best guidance.
