Bruce Watkin, in his Bishopstrow Village Trail leaflet, produced in 1984, later incorporated into the book Trails In And Around Warminster published in 1985, noted:
No.19 (on the east side of the [village] street, a little north of its junction with Church Lane) is a cruck cottage. The crucks can be seen inside by courtesy of the present owners.
