Tisbury Flower Group. ‘Maytime Through The House’ was the title of a floral display presented by Tisbury Flower Group at Tisbury’s Hinton Hall, on May 19th. Using different items of furniture, floral arrangements depicted various rooms of a house including a hall scene of flowers, parasols and shawls. Amongst the other rooms depicted, a nursery room, bedroom, kitchen and dining room, was a sitting room scene with a decorated piano. There was also a sale of homemade sweets and cakes. Competition winners were Mrs. M. Marshall, basket arrangement; Mrs. H. Marshall, candlestick arrangement; and Mrs. J. Pritchard, plaque arrangement. The competition was judged by Mrs. E. Lush. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Prevention of Cruelty to Children charity.
