From Frome Official Guide, 1980:
One factory that is a landmark in the town is that of J.W. Singer and Sons Ltd. on its central site. Established for well over a century, Singers now make non-ferrous components for many industries and export them all over the world, but were once in great demand for the casting of high quality statues of which the best known examples are Queen Boadicea and her chariot on the Thames Embankment and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens.
