Boyton Mill

K.H. Rogers, in Wiltshire And Somerset Woollen Mills, published by the Pasold Research Fund Ltd., in 1976, noted:

Boyton Mill
In 1616 Jerome Potticary of London sold a lease of the fulling mill at Boyton which had been bequeathed to him, to Christopher Potticarry of Stockton, clothier. Thomas Parker, fuller, owned tools at the mill worth £1 at his death in 1684, and Boyton was included in the list of mills at which medley cloths were to be inspected in 1727. But no more references to fulling in the village have been found.
