From the Wylye Deanery Magazine, July 1967:
Wylye School. The Parish Council called a Parish Meeting on Tuesday, 13th June. In addition to the members of the Council 14 other people attended. Col. Jeans explained the plans for the future of the School and said that there seemed no immediate prospect of closure for a few years but that the plan was eventually a merger with Steeple Langford. Meanwhile we are glad to welcome Mrs. Sharp and to know that Mrs. Bowen Jones is making a good recovery.
