A description of the Lake Pleasure Grounds, Warminster, Wiltshire, in 1966:

These Grounds (in Weymouth Street, two minutes from the Market Place), belong to the town, and are under the control of the Urban District Council. There are tennis courts, golf putting course, lake for boating, swimming baths, children’s paddling pool, band stand, kiosk retailing ices and minerals, and a room for parties to arrange meals. It is open to the public daily.
