A Description Of Bishopstrow, 1963 – 1964

A description of Bishopstrow, 1963 – 1964, reads:

Bishopstrow is a pretty little village, one and a half miles east of Warminster, on the Salisbury road. It is overlooked by the two ancient camps known as Scratchbury and Battlesbury. The River Wylye flows through the village. The Church of St. Aldhelm is a small, stone building with a square, embattled tower. It was rebuilt, except for the tower, in 1757.
