Mary Burton, of Class 3A, Avenue Secondary Modern School, Warminster, reports:
Netball. On Monday 26th March 1956, the school netball team played a staff team. Miss Hill was umpire. The result was a win for the school team by 7 goals to 6. There was some good play by both teams, and it was a very exciting match.
School team: S. Andrews, G. Hawkins, C. Dawkins, M. Ridout, M. Jones, S. Bray, and M. Foote.
Staff team: Mrs. Bishop (Sambourne), Jane Murray, Mrs. Mead, Miss Rathmell, Miss Milner, Miss Gunner, and Mrs. Marsh (school secretary).
